One of the greatest things about keeping a card blog is the fact that I’ve “met” some really cool fellow collectors. I think the sports blog community is pretty tight and I think that is especially true for the hockey card collectors. Everyone helps everyone else out; it’s truly great. So, I was surprised (but not really) when a package arrived at my door from Capt’n Canuck over at Waxaholic / Just A Bit Offside. I knew he was sending me a couple cards, but I wasn’t expecting all the hockey goodness contained within.

A little PJ-JO from 07-08 Upper Deck. Natch!

The player most non-Bruins fans love to hate. Thankfully Canuck didn’t use this card as a coaster or chuck it against the wall.

So, I knew those two cards were coming at some point. Now onto the extras…

2010-11 Upper Deck Authentic is a nice looking set; I just wish they’d expand the set and use more players from each team.

These are the first 2010-11 UD Biography of a Season cards I have, so that was nice.

I absolutely LOVE this card from the 2007-08 Upper Deck McDonald’s set. It is a shame that these are Canada-only releases because they are beautiful.

And these 2009-10 UD McDonald’s cards are even better looking. They’re so shiny and thick and etched. Man, you Canadians get all the cool cards!
