Two posts in one day?! Yep. Deal with it.

This card arrived the other day and puts me one closer to my HOF collection:

Mike Gartner, Washington Capitals, New York Rangers, Minnesota North Stars, Toronto Maple Leafs, Phoenix Coyotes

2011-12 Parkhurst Champions Autograph #95

So I know that I said I prefer a mustachioed Mike Gartner to the clean shaven version, but I love this card too much to not have it in my collection. That Capitals sweater is absolutely KILLIN’ IT on this card.

So that is…that. Now onto something I’ve wanted to do for a while. But before I do it, I want to see if there is interest.

So what is it that I want to do? A group break, duh. Here is what I’m tentatively thinking for boxes:

01-02 Fleer Greats of the Game (24 packs, 5 cards per pack, 2 autos per box)

01-02 Topps /OPC Archives (20 packs, 8 cards per pack, at least 1 auto per box)

02-03 ITG Franchises East/West (24 packs, 8 cards per pack, 1 auto & 1 memorabilia per box)

06-07 Parkhurst (24 packs, 6 cards per pack, 4 autos per box)

08-09 UD Masterpieces (18 packs, 4 cards per pack, 4 autographs and/or memorabilia cards per box)

So those are just some that I thought of that would be fun and make for good TTM cards. We could do any number of boxes or combinations or whatever. These boxes average out to about $80/box give or take. We could think of other releases that are mutually interesting. Overall, I’d like to keep it to roughly $25-$30 per person which includes shipping and all that jazz.

What do you think? Would anyone be interested? Ideas?
