Not much to report over here. I’ve been busy at work, working on some projects, and watching hockey. A while ago, I planned on writing about the Bruins this season and my thoughts on Tim Thomas being traded, an event that sort of passed with little press which is odd considering he is a two-time Vezina Trophy winner to go along with a Conn Smythe and Stanley Cup. I had opinions on his departure, but that time has passed. I’ll just say this: I’m not sad about it.
The Shriner Show is coming up in a month and I plan on going to that. My budget will be way down from previous shows, but I plan on nabbing lots of 70s and early 80s stuff.
The only thing I have to share now are these two eBay pickups:
2011-12 Panini Limited Private Signings #PC1 Paul Coffey
Finding an on-card auto of Coffey in an Oilers sweater was tougher than I thought it would be and pricier. Ah well. Also, is Coffey the Hall of Famer who has played for the most teams? NINE TEAMS! I’ll have to look into this.
1999-00 UD MVP Stanley Cup Edition ProSign #BL Brian Leetch
Leetch autographs, on the other hand, are cheap and plentiful. I chose this one because it was from when he was still playing, one of the things I like to look for.
This brings me down to six cards left (seven if you include an oddball Ken Dryden) for my on-card HOF collection. It is starting to become an odd feeling, having such a massive project come to an end. I guess it’ll never end, though, as there is a new class inducted each year. And I could always go after non-players like Scotty Bowman, Harry Sinden, referee Frank Udvari, and some broadcasters. Of course, I should probably get Cammi Granato and Angela James, too.

my question is, if that is your blueline, who’s playing defence?
Ha! So true.
Last time I saw either of these guys play the were on the Boston Bruins. Surprised me you didn’t mention that.
I have no idea what that Coffey went for but I can assure you it was worth every penny! Beautiful pick-ups
